3 different nap tools, Huggie, Petal and Wakie that are designed to improve on-campus napping experience for students under a tight schedule. Interviews, observations and user journey map are used to gain insights that leads to the designs.

Huggie

Huggie is a companion. It's a hugging pillow with storage pocket. It helps the user feel supported by holding personal item closely.
It also has breathable "face bury" so that passers-by cannot see the users sleeping face.

Petal

Petal is a foldable multi-use pad that portable and suits various situations. It's mainly designed for napping on the table that it wraps around arm, elbow. It can also be converted to a neck pillow or use as a back support cushion.
 

Wakie

Wakie is an eye and ear mask designed to call for more interaction between peers. The user can write their desired wake-up time on the mask, so their friend can also help wake them up on time. It comes with pockets for ear plugs so the users can comfortably use earphone without placing them in ears.

Feeling Vulnerable

Most on-campus napping environments lack feels of safety and relaxation, therefore, students feel vulnerable.

Body Pains

Due to environment constraints, napping positions are uncomfortable and sometimes results in body pains.

Re-energize

Napping is treated as a necessary tool to re-energize effectively.

Friend Support

It is important that friends support each other and raise the confident of not oversleeping.
